Class Pet

Hello!  Hope you're all keeping warm today.  It sure was cold outside.  Just a kind reminder to please send your child to school with warm winter clothes for recess time, including hats, mittens, snow pants, winter coat etc....Some of our mittens got wet, it might also be a good idea to keep a second pair of mittens or gloves in your child's backpack so they don't come home with cold hands.

Exciting news from our class today, we now have a class pet.  We brainstormed a bunch of names, and took a class vote to pick a name for our kitten.   We counted the votes, and the name that received the most votes is Bowser Jr.

Bowser Jr. loves all of the learners in the class.  Our kitten is very happy during the day to watch all of the children learn and play.  But at the end of the day, we don't want out kitten to be alone all night at school without any friends.  So little Bowser Jr. will come home each night with the special helper of the day.

The special helper, gets to bring Bowser Jr. home and take care of him for one night.  Bowser Jr. has a  travel journal to keep track of all of his exciting adventures.  I have asked the students to please draw a picture and write some sentences in the journal to describe their adventures with Bowser.  The students also know that Bowser Jr. loves neat printing and detailed pictures.
